Well the XLT is just about there , we had removed the engine and had it re-mapped with the new ECU and all I can say WOW its really good, the motor runs the best we have had yet and the guys who did the tune really suprised me they did a fantastic job and took onboard everything I asked them to do.
They tuned the engine as it would fly with the constant speeds at rpm and we took no chances this time the engine was tuned with the reduction drive fitted so it took some work but the coupling from the PSRU to the dyno worked out really well and I am very pleased with the engines power, I will post the numbers later down the track we are keeping them close to our chest at the moment but they are impressive thats all you need to know and easily 165HP and then some

The engine has been re-fitted and run in the aircraft and so far at 35% power its just crazy heaps of torque and plenty of pull to go with it .

We should see it pretty well completed in 3 weeks and ready to fly

regards Tommy

Good to hear of progress on the XLT
The rotary I have is running well although maybe a bit heavy on fuel burn. I am currently using V Power fuel from Shell and find I get just as good a result as on Avgas.
For economical flying I use around 4700 rpm and adjust the prop to give me a speed of 123 to 125 knots at 3000' and a fuel burn of 26 litres/hour. I still use a fair bit of prop dialed in for take off and climb at around 950 to 1000'/min at 90 knots.

Maybe it would do even better with the new ECU ?

Hi Tom
The first flight of the xlt must be so close you could smell the satisfaction of its construction, and the Adrenalin rush of that first flight. Hanging out for some long time waited photos, there would probably be a lot of enthusiasts waiting to see what it looks like.
Then we`ll wait for some performance data.
Regards Ray.

I recently bought this and Vechicle bee a good time so far. I already put in a receiver Alpine IVA-W200 multimedia and XM Satellite Radio and iPod adapter. This is a really cool main unit. I would say that money is the best I have seen. I just ordered from a local tuner to save Eibach lowering springs and a new series of black powder coated rims.
