Hi Tom

Any chance of having this info updated? The brochure includes statements such as:

"With a Mazda Rotary 160HP engine, the cruise should be in excess of 140 knots."  -- Isn't there some of these flying now so speeds should be known?

"A retractable under carriage will be developed by late 2004."  -- Is this available yet?

The brochure talks about a full kit for $67,400 including the Subaru motor, is there a full kit including the Viper motor? I notice on the website the carbon fibre quick build kit for $50,000. Is this a limited time "special" as it sure beats the price of the kit ($42,800) plus the quickbuild option ($11,000)?

Did the Cobra ever get aerobatic endorsement? This was discussed some time ago.

I love visiting the Cobra site and would dearly love to build one in the future. Up to date information and pricing would certainly help out. I understand that you are busy building and designing aircraft, but the prospective purchasers are looking at your website and not seeing the great things you are doing.

Also, what happened to the picture gallery. There used to be several different photos of a quickbuild cobra, the completed one and some of the explorer. Any chance of getting some more recent photos online for us to see?

Just some thoughts, keep up the great work at supplying Australian designed aircraft!!

Cheers

G'day Wayne,
Yeah, Tom is pretty busy and I'm sure he will get around to updating things. If you go to my builders section I have listed quite a lot about performance on my Arrow.  Of course Tom has got it at the moment and he will be able to tweak it much better than I did and I was pretty happy with the figures I was getting.

I don't think an aerobatic approval is possible. If I recall no RAA registered aircraft can go in the aerobatic catagory  ( doesn't mean its not capable, just not legal so don't do it ).

Sorry Guys
yep been really busy but am getting it all out and moving at a good pace foward, as for the retracts the design is done, and they work on the cad program, I need the time to do the development myself and being in the office and factory at present is holding me back at the moment.

As for the Aerobatic rating well under the RAAus its not allowed as Barry said he is correct but that does not meen it may never happen the RAA is doing great things to increase the freedom we have with our aircraft and we must always give them the credit they deserve,

Now for the picture gallery well it took a hiding when the website was hacked through the USA we moved it back on shore and you will find pictures under the builders aircraft section in the forum here.

The 50K price is for an all carbon quickbuild kit thats all the bits closed out and ready for finishing and paint we can even offer the service of painting at a very competitive price and a very good job as well .

I will work on the brochure in the comming days and try and keep it all updated .

With Regards Tommy
