Please ensure that all battery installations are correctly fitted, I have just found a battery in an aircraft that has dislodged and is moving around the airframe , the cause of the fredom seems to be that the battery box an off the shelf plastic style, was bonded into the fuselage, the issue here is that the plastic does not bond to either Epoxy or glass resin , and takes very little to break free from what may appear to be a substantial fixing.

The down side is of course when loose the battery can topple over and if using a lead acid battery can spill into the aircraft this can create all sorts of issues that I wont go into .

We use oddessy batteries they are approved for aviation use and have a metal case , they can be mounted in any direction except for upside down, we use a release agent on the battery case and mold a glass housing around it this can then be bonded into the aircraft , they do not leak so they are safe and a good retaining system fitted to the glass case meens they will never come loose .
